    Opis hotelu

The Markham Hotel is a restored historic hotel in downtown Gulfport, close to the harbor, Jones Park, and the Mississippi Aquarium.

Originally opened in 1926, the nine-story property has been brought back to life after decades of changing use and damage from Hurricane Katrina. The restoration keeps much of the building’s original character while introducing modern guest rooms and suites with preserved historic windows, warm finishes, marble details, and contemporary furnishings.

Dining and drinking options include The Library, a modern restaurant and bar with large windows overlooking downtown, and Upstairs Bar, a 3,500-square-foot open-air rooftop space with views across the harbor and Gulf. The Velvet Bean serves coffee, pastries, and light bites throughout the day.

The hotel also has a restored Crystal Ballroom and several event spaces, making it a strong option for weddings and special occasions. Its downtown setting puts guests within easy reach of Gulfport’s waterfront, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
