GMF @ House of Weekend - (Zamknięte)

Always enjoyed GMF, from its former location on Karl Marx Allee to the current location at House of Weekend (which is a beautiful, fairly upmarket venue). Given that it is on a "school night" (for some), it is certainly not as wild and intense as a night out on Friday or Saturday. The crowd is generally more relaxed and more preppy, mostly guys in their 20s and 30s. Music is generally dance pop mix on one side and techno on the other. During the summer, the rooftop lounge area is fantastic for a relaxing drinks with fab night view. Price of drinks are, to be expected at an upmarket venue, more expensive than most other gay parties. My partner and I are visitors who speak virtually no German (one of us is visible minority), and we never received any unfriendly treatment or had a problem.

Why not allow me to enter? Is it because I am a foreigner? Or am I not making an appointment? I don't understand very much.

It's a great venue but the music is the same old techno with DJs who obese over baseline. Pop floor is more like a radio station.
