Dawny dom amerykańskiego biznesmena Jamesa H.W. Thompsona, który przeniósł się do Bangkoku i rozpoczął tajski przemysł jedwabiu po II wojnie światowej.
Dziś jego dom to muzeum klasycznej tajskiej architektury, które mieści jego niesamowitą kolekcję sztuki azjatyckiej z lat 50. i 60.
Otwarte codziennie, z przewodnikiem. Do Jim Thompson House można dojechać skytrainem na stacji National Stadium (wyjście 1).

Interesting
Had a couple of hours free and decided to visit (based on this site suggestion). Easy to find from the National Stadium BTS - just down a side street immediately before the Holiday Inn Hotel.
Entry fee of 150 baht includes a 30 minute guided tour of the house in English (tours in other languages were also available). More interesting that I thought it would be. Nothing to do with silk making, more about the man himself and the history of the house and its contents.
There is a shop where you can buy JT products and a good café / restaurant.
