Taboo

Overpriced entry fee, no room to dance downstairs. Ordered a drink and complained as I couldn't taste any alcohol. Drink was replaced with a hint of alcohol and a scowl from the barman!

Taboo is a decent experience for just going out and dancing but there are a few things the staff should do to improve the atmosphere. It is mostly a small space and safety should be the utmost concern when so many bodies are squeezed in. The two levels of the dance floor towards the back wall present a hazard. It is a recipe for a broken ankle. The lower "walkway" should be "raised" to the height of the main dance floor. The texture can be different but the level should be the same. The chairs against the back wall should be removed. It is very crowded and difficult to walk around already. The chairs make it worse. People who want to sit down can do so using the benches built into the back wall. The chairs are a serious danger. Too much of the music is stuff that nobody knows. There should be a heavier lean towards dance remixes of popular songs. Some of that is played but not enough. I have more fun dancing when I have heard the songs on the radio before.

Overpriced entry of $25 for 1 drink. Skip along to Tantric opposite for stronger drinks, better music and friendlier staffs.

I have witnessed on 3 occasions now then just running water over the dishes for a few seconds. Terrible management.

Very unprofessional staff very bossy.. Act like a boss specially in the entrance.. No consideration.. They talk to in with no manners.. I only enjoyed people are guest inside..

It's not place for tourists! The guys were very aggressive on the entrance. My friend had problems with right hand but they wanted to put a stamp only on the right hand (on the closed hand!!!). It's not 21 century. Shame on such service! And barman on the second floor didn't want to say what we can order for free coupons. He was very irritated! The public were not friendly with European faces. I think it's complexes and lack of basic culture! We are travelling a lot and visited many gay places. But this place has ugliest service which we have ever received.

I've been to bars literally all over the world, and the staff at this place was the pushiest I've ever encountered. Admonished to buy a drink not 15 seconds after arriving (as if there was any question I would buy a drink), then it took 10 minutes for my change to arrive (I was sitting at the bar), and only after I raised a fuss. A friend told me something similar had happened to him a few weeks prior. Clearly the staff is interested in shaking-down customers - felt like the bad-old days in the west, when gay bars were all sketchy.
